15 Months

Sam had her 15 month appointment today. She is doing great, though the doctor mentioned that she had dropped on her weight growth curve. If she drops again we'll discuss what we should do, but at this point the doctor was not very concerned. She had her first of two flu shots, and took it like a champ, only crying for a few seconds and of course giving the nurse a nasty look (I don't know where she gets those looks from...).

She was 20 lbs (10th percentile) and 31 1/2 inches (60-70th percentile). There is no denying she is a Sterken.

She is so much fun right now. She can tell you where most of her body parts are, and especially loves it when you ask where her ears are because she will grab both of them and make a funny face like a monkey. She know what noise most animals say, but is selective in when she will tell you. She is very independent, and will rarely come to us for help with anything.

Eating full meals has been hit or miss lately because she is easily distracted. If she is not strapped into her high chair she will usually not eat much. She will beg for food whenever someone is eating around her though.

Her personality is really evident now, and we know that she is going to give us a run for our money in all that she does, but it sure is fun.

Yea! SO glad to be seeing more updates about Sam! She's getting so big and adorable - it's a fun age, but that independence can be a double edged sword! :) Sending her the book Bill mentioned your way very soon!
