For record keeping purposes I'm throwing this information in here. The baby book probably won't ever get done.
Alexis has her 9 month appointment on May 24 with a new doctor. She was 17 pounds 15 ounces, and 27 inches long. 25th percentile in both areas.

Dance Class
Last fall, our friend Whitney mentioned that she was going to sign
her daughter Lily up for beginning dance classes. BJ and I had been
looking for an opportunity to get Sam involved in a class like this, and
thought it would be perfect for her to do with a friend. Every Tuesday
night from 6:00 - 6:30 Sam and Lily attended Dance class at Madison Dance Academy.
It is so sweet watching eight little 2 and 3 year old girls practicing
their dance moves, and just generally interacting with each other. Their
teacher, Miss Amanda, is amazing with the girls and very patient.
This weekend was the big recital for the school. They had so many student participating they broke the classes into three different recitals! Sam's class was scheduled for the 3:00 show on Saturday, with rehearsal Wednesday night. Sam has never been given the opportunity to perform in front of a large audience, so I didn't know how she would do. Other than a little resistance to the hat she had to wear with her costume (which for the record I also would fight wearing), she did great, I was feeling a little more confident that Saturday would go okay.
My parents were in town Saturday to watch the recital. Because of a little incident that happened
that morning, Sam didn’t get a nap in before the recital. I was very nervous that she was going to
freeze, or just run off the stage crying.
She proved me wrong again. Her
entire class did such a great job. Their
teacher stood on the side of the stage and did the moves for the girls to
watch, and though the girls spent most of the time watching Miss Amanda, none
of them froze, or ran off the stage. Sam
was a little mesmerized by the lights and crowd, but did most of the
moves. We were so proud of her! BJ had stopped at the store on his way in,
and picked up a bouquet of flowers for her, she was so proud of the flowers and
spent the rest of the night showing everyone the flowers that her daddy had
given her.
We have the summer off from class, but already have her signed up for next year, and can’t wait to see how much she learns for the recital next May!
